One report of a consumer sustaining a minor burn injury to their hand has been reported by The Christmas Tree Shops.

In choosing a Christmas tree, especially live trees there are a few considerations. Go to a reliable Christmas shop or check online Christmas shops, the latter is more convenient. Pick a freshly cut tree. Check the foliage closely if it’s wilting or if it’s still vibrantly green and lively. You must also consider the area where you will display it to get the right size of the tree; you don’t want a humongous tree for a tine-tiny room or a minute tree for a banquet hall. It’s difficult to find the perfect tree, if there are minor flaws such as bald parts, worry not! Cut some leaves from abundant parts and fill it in the parts with less, and your tree crisis is solved. If you’re going to buy a plastic tree there are less considerations, just check if there are damages or if the pieces are perfectly intact.

Nantucket Distributing has recalled about 5,700 holiday-themed tea light candle warmers because they can catch fire because the warming bowl is positioned too close to the tea light candle, posing fire and burn hazards, the Consumer Product Safety Commission reported today.

Nantucket Distributing has received one report of the Snowmen candle warmer catching on fire causing a minor burn injury to a consumer’s hand.

Most of the Christmas art ideas you will see in various Christmas illustrations and artworks across the web are using the presence of Santa Claus – also known as Saint Nicholas. I have all my audio presentations and some outtakes saved on disc, but I suppose at this point I will not bother replacing the missing audio on those archived audio posts.

Christmas Card

Even if you are not good in drawing, you can still create beautiful Christmas cards. This Special Christmas Card arrived in my email box two nights ago. It is not the first Christmas card I received in 2007 but it is the very first Christmas card from a blogger friend. Although I am an old-fashioned girl who loves to receive my letters & cards in the old-fashioned way, i.e., via post, this meaningful card from a wonderful friend is very much appreciated from the bottom of my heart.

The Watauga County Arts Council (WCAC) has been creating ways to sponsor local artists for the last 31 years and will be introducing their newest project this fall, a Christmas Card Competition, which they intend to make annual. This was one of the many ideas discussed by the development committee and was chosen because they hoped limited availability of the cards would encourage buyers interested in specialized cards for friends and family.

When asked if she felt the development committee might like to break off into other holidays Executive Director Cherry Johnson responded that she thought “they’d love that idea!”

Money raised through the sale of these cards will benefit the Arts Council which works to support local artists by getting their work out there in the community and providing them with resources and workshops as well as supporting educational art programs for the children of Watauga County. Their goal is to protect Appalachian artistry and to continue to encourage and educate the High Country community through art.
